Lincoln City
At Sincil Bank

The Harriers have recently been linked with the Lincoln midfielder Simon Weaver but it seems that Jan has now given up in his quest to bring him to Aggborough.  The reason is thought to be that if we had signed him then part of the deal would be that Weaver would not be able to play against his old club this weekend.  Something that wouldn't go down too well with Mr Molby.

He won't be playing against us either because he's well down the pecking order at Sincil Bank and also because he may have signed for either Cheltenham or Macclesfield by then.

There is no doubt that we need a big man in midfield and Weaver would seem to fit the bill but Jan has now decided to continue with Chris McHale while Abdou Sall finishes his three match ban.  There is still a good chance that if the other two deals fall through that we might go after him anyway.

City will be without Chris Cornelly, he has been out of action since last seasons play off ties and Adrian Littlejohn who is ruled out with a groin strain but they do have quite a few squad members coming back from injury .

Paul Morgan, Jamie McCombe and and ex Orienteer, Ciaran Toner, had all missed training during the early part of the week but will be fit by tomorrow.  Michael Blackwood, who has been out for more than a month with an abdominal injury, would be fit but the Lincoln manager, Keith Alexander, says he won't be considered anyway because he's not quite 100%.

We know who'll be missing for us.  As mentioned before Abdous' out serving the final segment of his three match ban for the sending off at Southend, Micky Mellon is still out with an achilles injury and Jamie Gleeson has gone out on loan to Eastleigh.

Extending their loans for a further month this week were Steve McMahon, Simon Brown and Kelvin Langmead.

In an effort to get them playing with a bit more backbone Jan has had the players more involved in physical exercises this week.  A diet of boxing and circuit training was the order of the day and the gaffer now hopes that we will be more than able to deal with the aerial bombardment that we have come to expect from the Imps.

And finally.  Iseyden Christie 'might' be on the bench.
