At Moss Rose

John McGrath Yesterday Stuart Watkiss added the former Villa youngster John McGrath to the squad after chasing him for a few weeks.  He has signed with us for the remainder of the season from Doncaster Rovers and will be hoping to make his debut against Macclesfield tomorrow.

Also hoping to show his face is our recent signing from Bohemians, Dave Morrison.  He has yet to play for us since signing before Christmas although he did play in a friendly against our old boys association, Forest Green, in midweek.  That ended up 1-1 with Blair Sturrock on the scoresheet yet again.

Another ex Doncaster player who should be making his debut at Moss Rose, but not for us, is Dave Morley.  This defender was signed by Macc yesterday as a replacement for Greg Strong who has returned to Boston after being on loan to the Cheshire side for the last month.  He, in turn, replaced Simon Weaver when he left Macclesfield for us two months ago.

We have no real immediate injury problems.  Gary Birch and Tom Bennett were both excused training this week after picking up slight knocks in the game against Lincoln last Saturday.

Macclesfield have quite a few injuries on their list including ex Harrier Neil McKenzie.  He went to Macc on loan from Mansfield in October and was injured in his first game for them and hasn't played since.  If that's the case why wasn't he sent back to Mansfield then?

Also out will be Steve Payne, Mark Bailey, Tony Barras and probably Tommy Widdrington and Michael Welch who were both transfer listed this week.

It goes without saying that this is a game that we cannot afford to lose.  Cheltenham can do us a favour by beating Rushden at Whaddon Road and Chester can do likewise by winning at Cambridge.

It's no use relying on others though.  Our League future is in our own hands and I believe we'll come home with an armful of points from Macclesfield.
