With the Harriers facing a player shortage for the Stevenage game this coming Saturday the manager, Stuart Watkiss, has taken the advice of former team captain, Mark Yates and bought in the Burnley youth team striker Marc Pugh on an initial one month work experience deal.
The eighteen year old Lancashire born striker has been with the Clarets for two years and, although never appearing for the first team, has scored on a regular basis for the youth and reserve teams.
He also had two bench warming opportunities against Crystal Palace and Aston Villa in this seasons Carling Cup.
He is expected to be taking the place of the injured Simon Russell and will probably start on the bench at Stevenage.
Another player being given a squad number today was our youth team striker Mitch Butler but this is seen as just a precaution against future injuries to key players.
