Earlier today the Harriers signed another new player. Mark Creighton arrives at the club from Redditch Utd after formerly playing for the Harriers youth team six years ago. He left us for Willenhall Town.
The 24yr old central defender has agreed to a one year contract with us after originally being approached last season. Worcester city have also shown interest in him but he wanted to play at the highest level possible.
While Mark Yates is away on holiday in Portugal (that rings a bell!) Neil Howarth has been talking to prospective signings and had this to say about the latest acquisition: "We were close to signing him last season but for one reason or another it fell through. There were a couple of other clubs trying to get his signature including Football League clubs so we're chuffed to have him now.
He was in the Conference North last season and was probably the best centre half playing in that league. It will be a step up for him but we're confident he can handle it.
He's very mobile for a big lad, is excellent in the air and is powerful on the floor but because we're able to offer him full-time training he'll get fitter and better"
