The draw for the Northern area semi finals of this seasons LDV Trophy was made earlier today and the Harriers were handed the game that nobody else wanted with a long trip to far flung Carlisle on a winters night. With the game due to be played on Tuesday January 24th it's not the ideal place to go, and with Carlisle not being a happy hunting ground for us in the past it doesn't look too hopeful that we'll be progressing on to the Northern final stage.
This game will be a tougher task than the Bradford game earlier this week when we beat the League One side 3-1 at Aggborough but if we can turn in the same kind of performance then we could pull off a shock.
The other game in this group saw troubled Macclesfield playing host to Hereford Utd who must now be hoping for a bye if, as predicted, Macclesfield go into administration in the New Year.
The Southern area semi finals have pitched both the favourites together with Swansea City travelling to Walsall and Cheltenham playing host to Colchester of League One.
