In yesterday mornings draw for the Quarter Finals (Northern region) of the LDV Trophy the Harriers were paired with, the not all that long ago, ex Premiership side Bradford City. With the game to be played at home it should mean quite a good gate with such, comparatively, attractive opponents.
City, at the moment sitting in fourteenth place in League One after having lost at home to Hartlepool yesterday, beat Morecambe on Tuesday night to progress into this round. Joe Brown saved City's blushes by heading an injury time winner at Christie Park with virtually the last touch of the game.
City are not the force they once were and now have just a handful of well known players in their side. Marc Bridge-Wilkinson, David Wetherall, Danny Cadamarteri, Dean Windass and Steve Claridge are the only ones that we will have heard of.
The game will be played at Aggborough during week commencing December 19th with Tuesday 20th being the most likely date. Unless it's on television then it could be on the Thursday morning at dawn.
As in previous LDV ties it will be settled on the night with extra time if not decided on 90 minutes with penalties after that. If the Harriers lose they will receive £6,000 in prize money but Bradford will get £8,000 for losing because they're a League club!!.
