Match preview Vs Aldershot Town

Date: 18-03-06 Venue: Aggborough Kick off: 15:00hrs
Well be going into this game with a couple of new faces yet again with the signing yesterday of Luke Reynolds and Mike McGrath but Harriers fans have now seen the last of Francino Francis now that he has returned to Watford.    His team mate from there, Junior Osborne, remains with us purely because he looks useful and interested in playing for us.

Following on from last weeks defeat at Morecambe we shall need to get back onto the goal scoring trail after only having scored two goals in the last six games.    Reynolds is a proven goal scorer, but at a much lower level, having knocked home eighteen goals for his former club AFC Telford but a decent striker should be able to score at whatever level he finds himself.

Jake Sedgemore is still a doubt for us after he missed last weeks game because of a groin injury so he'll face a late fitness test to see if he makes the cut.

Aldershot are also bringing in a couple of new faces with one of them being another of Francino's Watford pals.    Kyle Matthews is also nineteen but was only in the academy at Vicarage Rd while Francis was a fringe first team player.    Lot of good it did him!

Also about to sign for the Shots is Ian Simpemba from Crawley.    He played against us a couple of weeks back when we beat Crawley with a solitary Russell goal but I have to be honest and admit that I did not remember seeing Simpemba on the pitch so he couldn't have been that good.

Aldershot have a handful of injuries with striker Jonny Dixon and defender Darren Barnard out of the game.    Dixon ruptured his hamstring when they played Dagenham last weekend and Barnard was stretchered off with what looked like knee ligament damage at first but after seeing the physio this week it's now been thought that he might have some part to play at Aggborough.

David Lee (midfield) has been out from almost the start of the season - having broken his leg at Canvey Island, but he has begun light training and is not expected back until the pre-season.

I think we're in for another tough game against a team no better or no worse than ourselves.    The difference is that they can score goals and we just don't seem to want to.
