Match preview Vs Altrincham

Date: 27-01-07 Venue: Moss Lane Kick off: 15:00hrs
It's got to that stage now in our unbeaten run that any team we come up against will be wanting the honour of being the first to beat us.    That's just what Altrincham will be hoping tomorrow when we travel there looking for a tenth win on the trot.

The Moss Lane side are having a typical season for them with the team hovering just below half way in the table without ever putting a good run of results together.    They did have an excellent home win against Rushden a few weeks ago that did football a great favour.

They signed Chris Senior from Halifax last week to boost their goal scoring possibilities but the manager, Graham Heathcote, missed out on another target from Halifax, Ryan Sugden, but has signed full back Andy Scott from Kidsgrove today after he impressed in a trial earlier in the week.

They have just the one injury worry with Steve Bushell facing a late fitness test on a calf strain before the game.

Iyseden Christie will also be undergoing a similar test for us after he failed to make the mid-week game against Stafford following the calf injury that he picked up against York City a few days previous to that game.

His strike partner, James Constable, could be playing his last game for us but the talk is that he may be allowed to stay for longer if Walsall and Mark Yates come to some agreement on Monday.    James did his chances of staying a big boost on Tuesday when he missed a sitter of a goal from just a few yards out.

Gavin Hurren and Jonny Harkness are both expected to be fit after they were withdrawn from the Stafford game as a precautionary measure.

The one that we will definitely be without though is Russ Penn.    He picked up his tenth booking of the season in the York game and will now have to miss two games.

It should have been this game against Alty and the Tamworth game that was supposed to have been played this coming Tuesday but Tamworth now have a FA Trophy replay that evening so Russ will now have to miss our Trophy game against Braintree Town next Saturday instead.

Tomorrows game is going to be another tough one and I think our winning run will come to an end but I don't think we'll lose either.    A draw is on the cards for this one.

Just a note from me that if anyone is still having a problem logging into the message board then could you please read this, http://www.harriers-online.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1879 and follow the instructions.

I am trying to get the problem sorted out but other people haven't got the same idea of what is urgent that I have.
