Once again defensive errors cost us and once again Mark Yates gives the players a balling out but what good is it doing? they don't seem to listen and it's in one, out the other. They have either got what it takes to succeed in this League or they haven't.
We showed against Oxford that we are capable of turning on the style and pressurising teams when it matters and also to defend resolutely when it matters so why don't we do it week in week out?
For this game against second placed Dagenham we are really going to have to be on our metal. They're not where they are without good reason but I don't think they have the strength in depth to maintain such a giddy height until the end of the term and it's up to us to get our act together and start the decline of their season.
Again we'll be without Dean Sturridge (achilles), Bob Taylor (groin) and Paul Bignot (3 match ban) but surely Jeff Kenna must be getting fit by now? he's been out since this time in September when he was taken off at half time, against York City, with a hamstring injury. Will he make the bench tomorrow?
Dagenham will be without Tim Cole and Lee Goodwin who both have long term injuries. They have won seven of their eight home games so far with the only defeat coming by a single goal against Oxford Utd in the second game of the season.
Do I really think we'll get a result at Dagenham? I'll tell you at 4:45 tomorrow afternoon.
