We'll give it a good try but Morecambe have made some improvements to their squad in recent weeks and look a tougher proposition now. A 20yr old striker, Conal Platt, has come in on a month long loan from AFC Bournemouth and has been given clearance to play in the cup by his parent team. Adrian Rigoglioso has been recalled from his loan at Forest Green.
Jim Bentley, who has missed most of the season through injury, made his comeback in a home win against Gravesend last week and came through with flying colours. Striker Danny Carlton damaged his knee ligaments during a recent game at Aldershot and will be out of the side until the New Year.
Again we'll be without Reuben Reid for this game after Plymouth again refused to allow him to be cup tied, they were good enough to let him stay at Aggborough for a further month though. There is no news yet regarding Paul Bignot being allowed to appear at Christie Park but I would think it's doubtful if Crewe would let him be cup tied.
We have no injuries, apart from Dean Sturridge (groin) and Jake Sedgemore (virus), so Jeff Kenna could make a full return to the side if Bignot doesn't play. Brian Smikle filled in there against Droylsden and did ok but I don't think Mark Yates will repeat the exercise again.
Iyseden Christie will be relishing the chance to score again on his own property and could well do after being in top form in recent weeks. He could be the one to win this important game for us.
