Matthew Barnes-Homer Mark Yates signed the first of the triallists on a permanent basis today when Matthew Barnes-Homer put pen to paper on a one year deal.    MB-H, that's what he'll be called from now on, has played in both of our friendlies so far and completed a full ninety minutes against Cheltenham on Tuesday evening.

With the team turning out in the new away strip of yellow shirts and blue shorts MB-H opted for matching boots in a sensuous shade of yellow.    When we play in our normal red shirts then he will wear his stylish red boots and borrow Iyseden Christie's old blue boots for when we need to wear our third choice strip.

Joking apart he looked to be a useful player against Cheltenham and will also be a useful squad player.    He doesn't look to be capable of ousting Richards, Christie or Constable from the first choice places just yet.

He's had a few clubs in his 21 years after starting at Wolves when he was fifteen.    From there he went to Aldershot, ironically our first opponents for the new season, Hednesford, Bromsgrove Rovers, Willenhall and Wycombe.    He has also played in America but not for LA Galaxy.

It's a given that he'll play some part in tomorrow evenings friendly at Telford.    Doubtful for that game will be Mark Creighton and Simon Russell after they both picked up knocks during training prior the Tuesdays game.    In addition Iyseden Christie and Stuart Whitehead will both still be missing while they recover from operations.
