Date: 27-07-07 Harriers triumph at Telford
The Harriers continued their good pre-season campaign with a fine win at AFC Telfords Bucks Head ground tonight.    Goals from the ex Doncaster Rovers youngster Rob Pacey, on trial with us after playing on trial for Halifax last week, and new signing Matt Barnes-Homer gave the Harriers a good result from a testing game against a Telford side replete with a couple of ex Harriers in Matt Lewis and Gary Birch.

For us Dean Coleman played throughout the game as did Pacey.    The opening goal came from a Harkness corner to the head of John Munday who in turn knocked it down for Pacey to poke into Ryan Youngs net.

Telford, playing with full commitment for such a meaningless game, went close with an early Chris Cornes free kick that Coleman saved easily enough but failed to really test our new keeper at all for the remainder of the game.

We had further chances through Harkness, Russell Penn, Amar Boukhalfa and Constable until the second goal finally arrived when M B-H got on the end of a fine cross to convert sweetly from the centre of the area.

Seconds from the end Gary Birch hit the post and we spurned a chance to make it three goals when Constable dragged his shot wide in the dying seconds.

Team:
Coleman, Kenna (Bignot), Harkness (Blackwood) Munday (Hurren), Adams (McGrath), Pacey, Paul, Boukhalfa (Ferrell) Smikle (Barnes-Homer), Penn, Richards (Constable).
