Match preview Vs Droylsden

Date: 18-09-07 Venue: Aggborough Kick off: 19:45hrs
I haven't got much time tonight for this and having been away for a week I'm a bit out of touch.    So it's a brief one then.

The Harriers recent upturn in form came crashing to the ground at Ebbsfleet Utd, a new version of a plastic team like Rushden.    With Scott Bevan missing through a thigh injury the second string keeper Dean Coleman stepped in for his debut in Harriers colours and he had a game that he'll want to put out of his mind for ever.    He cannot be solely to blame though and most of it lies at the feet of a suspect defence that once again fell asleep at the crucial time - all of it!

Dean saw five goals go past him but thankfully we put four in at the other end thanks to an own goal and another Jimmy Constable hat trick.    So something panned out right then.

With the visit of Droylsden tomorrow night we could be looking at another high scoring game but this time with the result being slightly more one sided.    A bit like our FA Cup game last season when we beat the then Conference North side 5-1.

The Bloods are going through a bit of a rough spell at the minute.    An all season rough spell so far having lost seven of their nine games so far with the most recent defeat coming on Saturday at home to Weymouth.    The visitors winning 3-1.

What is really letting them down though is their abysmal discipline that seems to have carried on from when we played them last season.    Then they had two booked and one sent off and now this season they are in danger of creating a new record with 15 yellows and 3 reds so far.

For us we should have Scott back between the sticks after recovering from the thigh injury.    Iyseden Christie is rated doubtful with a hamstring injury that he picked up in a friendly against Hereford last week while Stuart Whitehead and Simon Russell are both short on match fitness but are now near to playing again.    We might see one of those two on the bench tomorrow evening.

Droylsden have midfielder Jamie McGuire and striker Steve Daly unavailable for selection as they serve individual suspensions.    They have no known injuries and you wouldn't know even if they did because their websites are the pits.    Forum is ok though.
