Match preview Vs Histon FC

Date: 14-10-07 Venue: Glassworld Stadium Kick off: 15:00hrs
Harriers play their first Sunday game for a long time (last one was at York when we were in the League) when the team travel to Histon for our first ever game against them.    Histon are a village side north of Cambridge that gained promotion from the Conference South last season and so far this season they are doing ok.

Sitting one place below us but with two points less they'll be looking to inflict defeat on us and so climb above us.    Following our recent poor performances we'll be wanting to get a result there too and again it'll have to be without Scott Bevan and Jeff Kenna with both of these important members of the team out for up to another month each.

In Sir Jeff's case he is having to go under the knife for a hernia operation.

Also out still are Iyseden Christie and Simon Russell and they too will be missing for some time.

Histon have released a couple of players out on loan to other clubs this past week and have just the one injury (knee ligament) to Matthew Mitchel-King.    They also have Gavin Gordon, the former Cardiff City striker, in their squad list but he has yet to make an appearance for them.    Another Reuben Hazell?

We're stepping into the unknown here with this game but as at Salisbury two weeks ago we did alright there and there's no reason we can't get a similar result at Histon.    Depending on which team turns up I think we're looking at a draw.

Teams:

Harriers from:
Coleman, MacKenzie, Harkness, Bignot, Creighton, Whitehead, Munday, McGrath, Ferrell, Bennett, Hurren, Penn, Richards, Blackwood, Barnes-Homer, Smikle, Constable.

Histon from:
Naisbitt, Cowell, Osborn, Ada, Akurang, Andrews, Bannister, Barker, Bradshaw, Cambridge, Dalby, Gordon, Gwillim, Haniver, Hipperson, J Kennedy, N Kennedy, Knight-Percival, Langston, Murray, Nightingale, Okay, Pope, Upcott, Webster, Wright
