Match preview Vs Salisbury City

Date: 23-02-08 Venue: Aggborough Kick off: 15:00hrs
The Harriers make a welcome return to Aggborough after an eternity away and a couple of cancelled games into the bargain.  We last played at home on February 2nd and have only played Torquay away since then with that game ending in a 1-0 defeat two weeks ago.

We'll also be welcoming Salisbury City for their first ever game here following their promotion to the top division of the non-league game last season.  We have already played down there, last September, and came back with a hard earned 1-0 win thanks to a Michael Blackwood goal midway through the first half.

Salisbury played well that day, were unlucky not to score themselves and will now be looking for revenge.  Since that day they have gone on to consolidate themselves in the League and now sit in 8th place, five places above us.

They'll be without striker Mike Fowler as he serves a one-match ban after accruing five yellow cards and they have two players doubtful.  Fellow strikers Matt Tubbs and Marvin Brown have both missed training this week because of hamstring injuries and Tubbs missed out on Wednesday evenings England C game against Wales at Exeter's St James Park.

Our own Russ Penn played 80 minutes of that game and supplied the corner for one of our goals in the 2-1 win.  He's missed our last few games because of injury but is now obviously fit once more and will be back in the side for tomorrow.

Andy Ferrell picked up a knock in training prior to last Sundays called off game at Crawley but has now recovered enough to play.  We have no other injuries and suspensions although Iyseden Christie is waiting to pick up his fifth yellow of the season.

At the recent fans forum the Harriers manager, Mark Yates stated that all the players now remaining at Aggborough are going to have to play for their future.  We hope they have listened to him and do so tomorrow because anything less than a win is not going to go down too well with the long suffering fans.
