Match preview Vs Altrincham

gif

Date: 11-04-09gif Venue: Moss Lanegif Kick off: 15:00hrs
Tomorrow will be the last of this week of road trips when the Reds turn up in Altrincham hoping for better luck than in the previous two games at Forest Green and Ebbsfleet.  If we thought that losing Justin Richards and Martin Riley to red cards on Tuesday night was bad enough then we had more pain to come with another red card last night.

This time it was the turn of Lee Baker to get on the wrong side of a referee when he up-ended an Ebbsfleet striker in the area.  Some reports say that he had got the ball and not the man and others say that Shakes was going nowhere but away from goal.  Whatever the reason the card stands and Lee will miss the game tomorrow along with Richards.

Martin Riley will be playing though because his red card at FGR has now run it's course and he'll certainly be there.  We have a choice of three players ready to replace Baker with Craig Armstrong being the most obvious one.  Andy Ferrell, now back from injury, could also play there and so could Luke Jones.  Even Riley could if pushed.

Stefan Moore will continue to play along side Matt Barnes-Homer but we won't know whether Martin Brittain or Darryl Knights will start the game.  Whichever one it is one will replace the other sometime during the game.

Altrincham will be without suspended midfielder Anthony Danylyk along with Chris Senior (hamstring) and Chris Denham,  Although both of them were on the bench in their game against Eastbourne last Tuesday they probably wouldn't have been fit enough to play and were there just to make up numbers.

Robbie Lawton could also miss the game after a freak accident in the classroom (he's a teacher) injured his back.  It appears that he was bending down to put a piece of paper on a chair (no, I don't know why either) and his back went.  It's old age Robbie.  Retire while you can still walk!

With the team now starting to tire from all the games and the travel this is going to be yet another tough game.  Hopefully team spirit and a decent referee for once will see us to maximum points.
