Match preview Vs Burscough    FA Trophy 1st rd

Date: 16-12-08gif Venue: Aggboroughgif Kick off: 15:00hrs
The Harriers have yet another day off from League action tomorrow when Burscough come to us for the first round proper of the FA Trophy.  Again, as with Curzon in the FA Cup recently, they're another club that we know very little about not having played them before.

Mark Creighton For those that would like to know more then they're a Lancashire based club in a small town off J27 of the M6 more or less between Skelmersdale and Southport.  Basically they're Scousers.

They play in the Blue Square North and at the moment sit in the drop zone but they've been on something of a good run in recent weeks with three wins and a draw.  Two weeks ago they were in the area playing at Redditch Utd and came away with a 2-0 win at our troubled neighbours (in fact all our neighbouring clubs are in trouble, apart from Evesham).

In their playing ranks they have one or two that we have come up against before with the main two being Ged Brannan and Steve Dickinson.  Brannan numbers among his former clubs Rochdale, Accrington and Morecambe while Dickinson has been with Southport and Guiseley.

We should have an almost full squad available for tomorrow with the only possible doubt through injury being Dean Bennett after he went off early in the Mansfield game on Tuesday with a slight pull to his hamstring.  The one definitely missing will be Mark Creighton (above left) after he picked up his fifth yellow card during last Saturdays win at home to Salisbury City.  He'll miss just the one game and Luke Jones is expected to take his place.

Yesterday it was announced by the club that Stefan Moore will be staying with us for a further month.  All he needs now is to get picked occasionally but it's doubtful that chance will come tomorrow as it's believed that Mark Yates will want to play the strongest team possible.

I shouldn't think that Burscough will cause us too many sleepless nights and we should go through to the next round with ease.
