At the same time that we were hammering Alty 4-0 our hosts tomorrow, Burton Albion, were going down 4-3 at Histon after initially losing 3-0. Their comeback started just before half-time when goals from Darren Stride and Greg Pearson got them back into the game.
Greg Pearson was at one time rumoured to be joining us but that never materialised. It was a former Harriers that grabbed the equalising goal for the Albion five minutes from time when John McGrath scored from a corner. Now at three goals apiece Burton thought that they had salvaged a point but then in injury time Jack Midson popped in the winning goal to send Burton home with nothing.
We'll now need to be on our guard for a backlash from the Albion. We do have a good record against them though having lost just the once there since 1976.
We should be at full strength for the game with no injuries noticed at the game yesterday. We'll probably go with the same starting line-up too and bring on Darryl Knights later on in the proceedings.
For them Tony James and Keith Gilroy are out injured and Darren Stride could be a doubt after a reaction to a knee injury during the game at Histon.
As mentioned before we always seem to get a decent result at Burton and I see no reason why that shouldn't continue tomorrow.
