Match preview Vs Ebbsfleet Utd

Date: 11-10-08 Venue: Aggborough Kick off: 15:00hrs
Our season has suddenly taken a turn, maybe not, for the worse but very close to it.  A defeat at home to Barrow and disappointing draw at Northwich on Tuesday night dropped us down to sixth in the table from the heady height of second at one stage.  It's now Mark Yates' job to rally the troops and get them winning again.

Sadly our next visitors, Ebbsfleet, will not be on the end of a Justin Richards hat trick because he hobbled out of the Northwich game with a hamstring injury that will keep him out of the side for at least a month.  Yates is now trying to get Stefan Moore to sign a short term contract so that he can play in his place.  The only problem is going to be the terms offered because it's rumoured that Moore is looking for around £1.5k a week for starters.  Yates may have to look elsewhere rather than fall for that nonsense.

We may also be seeing another change to the line-up with Neil Mackenzie getting his first start and the desperately under-performing Russ Penn going to the bench after looking very below par all season.  Two glimpses of his undoubted skill per game is not enough in many fans eyes and those fans are now clamouring for him to either be dropped or told what his future is at Aggborough.

FA Trophy holders Ebbsfleet will be without Darius Charles following his dismissal against Histon on Monday night after picking up two yellows.  They were very lucky not to get even more players sent off after they had another five players booked throughout the game and ended up losing the game 1-0.

They've had a middling season so far after expectations were so high following the Wembley victory against Torquay Utd.  At the moment they sit in mid table having won just two away games this term - at Forest Green and Barrow.

We have no other injuries, apart from Justin, and we need to win this game to get back up there in touching distance.  Ebbsfleet will not be going home happy.
