Match preview Vs Grays Athletic

gif

Date: 01-11-08gif Venue: Aggboroughgif Kick off: 15:00hrs
Luke Jones will miss this Blue Square Premier game against Grays Athletic following his sending off in the FA Cup victory at Kings Lynn last weekend.  He stupidly reacted to constant niggling fouls from the Kings Lynn player and grabbed him around the neck.  The referee didn't hesitate in sending Luke off and he will now undergo a three game absence.

In his place should come Martin Riley after he made his debut when he replaced him last week and coped admirably.

Also missing will be Neil Mackenzie after he returned to Notts County following the end of his one month loan spell back with us.  County also refused, at the last minute, to let him play in the FA Cup tie last week.

Justin Richards made his comeback in fine style by grabbing one of the goals in the 5-1 win and will almost certainly be starting alongside Matt Barnes-Homer against Grays and the only other change I expect to see is Dean Bennett coming in for Mackenzie.

It's not known yet what shape the Grays line-up will take because the dearth of real news on their website is appalling.  We do know that they don't travel too well and have yet to win a single point in their away games, scoring only three times and letting in fourteen goals.

Some will say they are overdue an away win then but I think not.  Got to be three points for us this time.

Teams:

Harriers from:
Bartlett, Coleman, Baker, Riley, Lowe, Ferrell, Creighton, Bowler, Knights, McDermott, Bennett, Brittain, Penn, Barnes-Homer, Smikle, Richards, Moore.

Grays from:
Button, Flitney, Arnold, Gray, Lodge, Gier, Batt, Stuart, Ashton, Dayes, Elliott, Sloma, Taylor, Welsh, Bailey, Wilnis, Haines, Cogan, Hickie, Beaney, Davis, Thurgood, Slabber, Forrester.

Stop Press: Grays have re-signed Jamie Slabber from Havant and Scott Forrester.  Both are expected to feature for them tomorrow.
