Match preview Vs Histon

gif

Date: 18-04-09gif Venue: Glassworld Stadiumgif Kick off: 15:00hrs
After playing three mid-table sides last week, and drawing all three of them, we now find ourselves in the middle of a run against another three sides very much in the chase for promotion.  On Monday we saw off the League leaders Burton Albion with a fine win and next Tuesday we'll be visiting Stevenage for what promises to be a very tough game.  In between those two we have Histon tomorrow.

Justin Richards This also promises to be a very tough game but also one that we must win if we want to make sure of that important play-off place.

They had been on a poor run of form lately with only four goals scored in their last four games before last nights home win against Ebbsfleet.  That 5-2 win took them back above us into third place and pushed us down to fifth after their place in the play-offs looked precarious a few weeks back.

We have already beaten Histon at Aggborough back in January in one of our best performances of the season.  Some of our passing that day was stupendous and it's that kind of passing that we need to take to the Glassworld Stadium if we hope to defeat Histon's well drilled long ball method of playing.

Histon could be without Josh Simpson for the game, and probably for the remainder of the season, with an ankle injury.

We'll be at full strength for the game and will also have Justin Richards (above) back from his three game ban for the sending off at Forest Green.  He'll be wanting to get on the score sheet and get back above Matt Barnes-Homer in the leaderboard after Matty's goal against Burton put him on twenty one goals for the season against Justin's twenty.

We should also be taking a decent following of fans to Histon and because it's our last away game on a Saturday some fans will be going in fancy dress.  There could be a run on builders gear at Hire It this weekend.

Hopefully we'll come back with all the points and also hope that Stevenage have drawn at home to Torquay while Cambridge Utd will have stumbled against Salisbury and make that important play-off place a little nearer.
