Match preview Vs Kettering Town

Date: 18-10-08 Venue: The A-Line Arena Kick off: 15:00hrs
We'll be heading to Kettering tomorrow for this mouth watering, top of the table, six pointer clash and we'll also be hoping to come home with all 'six' points.  It's also a chance to see Iyseden Christie again although that chance almost went through the window this week when we heard the news from York that City had signed him.  It was just a small matter of Issey travelling out of his comfort zone to York, posing with his specially printed shirt and then going back to Coventry realising he still doesn't like travelling.

Iyseden Christie Luckily for Kettering the York board hadn't done their homework and Christie isn't that stupid.

So we'll still be up against him but at least we'll know how to cope with his little tricks.  Those little nudges, back flicks, stepovers, dives and above all conning the ref.  The problem is we have an almost new team since he was here and there's only Mark Creighton, Andy Ferrell and Luke Jones etc that know him well.

There are other former Harriers at Kettering too: Chris Beardsley, Jon Brady and Dwaine Lee are all there and be hoping to put one over us although Lee already had in the St Albans opening game of 2006 when he backpassed the ball for the opening goal in the 3-1 defeat.

They should have an almost full squad available to them now that Christie is staying and also Tommy Jaszczun after he had a red card at Salisbury overturned.  They have only the one injury and that's to Nathan Smith who has a twisted knee.

We'll still have Justin Richards out with his hamstring injury but, as shown last week, we can manage without him for a bit.  Darryl Knights struggled up front slightly but that could be down to naivety from Yates and he could play him in the hole behind a new look frontline of Barnes-Homer and Stefan Moore.  In more probability he'll go with the same again and bring Moore on sometime during the second half to do some serious damage.  We hope!

This is going to be one tough Mother of a game because Kettering are up near the top for a reason.  Then again we're up there too and that's because we're bloody good.
