Match preview Vs Mansfield Town

gif

Date: 24-04-10gif Venue: Field Millgif Kick off: 15:00hrs
The fans will be in fancy dress for this last game of the season at Mansfield Town.  They seem intent on finishing it all with a laugh, a drink and having a good time so all we need now is a bit of effort from the team we follow to make the trip and the day all worthwhile.

Blair Sturrock Frankly recent results haven't been very good and they are probably our worst set of 'end of season' results since we got relegated from the Football League in 2005.  Just two league wins since the beginning of March and a grand total of only ten points from a possible thirty nine to me smacks of relegation.  Simple as!!

In recent games we should have been going all out to win but against Stevenage and Barrow in the last two games we seem to be more interested in anything but winning.  That has got to be rectified tomorrow at Field Mill, Mansfield, if we don't want to be even more depressed and let down.

Changes will definitely be made to the team with Dean Coleman coming back into goal in place of Jasbir Singh who made two horrendous mistakes to allow Barrow to score on Tuesday and previous to that on Saturday against Stevenage he again played a big part in gifting the Champions their first goal.  Coleman returned to the side that beat Halesowen Town in the Worcester Senior Cup last night following a long time out of the game with a groin injury so he'll be looking forward to the Mansfield game.

We have no other injuries (that was before the WSC game) but Mansfield have a few.  Gary Silk, Rob Duffy (hamstrings) and Kyle Nix (groin) are recent injuries but both Michael Brough and Oliver Hotchkiss have been out long term and definitely won't feature.

Town have a couple of former Harriers playing for them, kind of.  Blair Sturrock (right) is a regular but Craig Armstrong has been sent out on loan to Forest Green.

By the end of the game we will have seen which players want to stay at Aggborough because they, no doubt, will be playing their hearts out for a new contract.  Some haven't been for a while now and will still not be making any real effort because they already know they're leaving but however they play this will still be an end of season game for two teams that have nothing to play for.
