Date: 10-12-2010 gif Harriers facing points deduction or worse
In a surprise development of our poor financial situation, today it was revealed that the Harriers Chairman, Dave Reynolds, had been asked to attend a meeting at Conference level to explain the irregular posting of year end financial reports.  Earlier this year, at a fans forum, the fans had been informed of the situation that existed within the club that had led to the overthrow of the previous Chairman Barry Norgrove, Director Neil Savary and the Financial Director John Baldwin by Dave Reynolds and Mark Serrell.

This had centered around unpaid PAYE bills and also players wages not being paid.  Other aberrations had also come to light of the board not being fully informed of what was going on in both the financial and playing side of the club and this had all amounted to the club needing £150,000 within a few weeks and then every month more money coming into the club to keep us afloat.

The facts are that this situation had been going on for sometime without the people that mattered being made aware and now we are being made to pay.

The official statement says that there will be more news forthcoming on Monday but this will not be revealing any information about the make up of the current board or who is actually in power within the board.  This will probably be revealed at a later stage when the long knives have been drawn then re-sheathed.

Until then we have a minimum of a five point deduction and a hefty fine to look forward to on Monday.  If the Conference board try to take it further, and if Dave Reynolds also fails to convince them that he now has everything under control then expect a further points reduction and a CVA in the New Year.

If he succeeds then expect a major overhaul of the way the club is run and who by.

If he does fail then we can fully expect him to walk away from the club, wash his hands of the whole thing and leave others to be the scapegoats.
