By Harry Taylor

Micky Demetriou Kidderminster Harriers have continued their summer player recruitment with the signing of 21 year old, left-sided utility man Micky Demetriou, on a one year deal from Eastbourne Borough.

He spent the end of last season playing for Eastbourne Borough in defence and played against the Harriers when we battled out a 1-1 draw down there.  During a spell with Worthing he was their star striker, earning himself trials with both Leicester City and Premiership side Fulham during his time there.  A sign of massive versatility which can only be a useful asset in the coming season.

He also is an alumni of the Glenn Hoddle Football Academy, having played for Jerez Industrial in Spain, and has also had a spell with Bognor Regis Town where he picked up their player of the season award last season.

The Harriers assistant manager, Gary Whild, had this to say about our new signing:

"Mickey is a left-sided player who can play in a number of positions and he's a big, strong lad.
It's a great bit of business for us - he ticks a lot of boxes for us and we are looking forward to working with him."
