Redditch Utd 1 Harriers 3
The Harriers chalked up their third friendly win in a row with this well worked 3-1 victory at neighbours Redditch Utd. A goal twenty minutes in from Kyle Hadley, against a club that he was on loan at last season, was thanks to a determined run that saw him skip past a couple of defenders before curling the ball around goalkeeper Jake Meredith
We had got a handful of new trialists on show with Henry Eze formerly with Halesowen, Pat Sayce, Dominic Morell, Sanchez? and more realistically Nathan Wolfe formerly of Bolton and Wrexham. Also available were a fair number of the Harriers youth team squad.
Dominic Morell should have made it 2-0 to Harriers on the thirty minute mark but his shot, after being played in by Ruben Bover-Izquieudo, went the wrong side of the post.
The home side had a couple of chances late on in the half that forced Andy Stevens into some smart saves.

The second half started with a a flurry of chances for the Harriers with RBI firing wide and Robert Thompson-Brown shooting straight at the keeper. On the stroke of the hour the scoreline had suddenly gone from 1-0 to 2-1 when first Patrick Sayce scoring for us with a well taken goal and then straight from the re-start Redditch pulled a goal back when the former Worcester City man, Danny Scheppel's long range effort was deflected beyond the reach of Stevens.
The game was put beyond Utd's reach on sixty seven minutes when Morell went on a run that took him past a string of Redditch players to pull the ball back from the byeline for another trialist, Joel Grandison, to strike the ball cleanly and hard into the top of the net.
