Match preview Vs Barrow

Date: 22-01-11gif Venue: Aggboroughgif Kick off: 15:00hrs
Chris McPhee The Harriers will be welcoming Barrow to Aggborough tomorrow but not with open arms, especially Louis Almond.  It was the on loan Blackpool starlet that put us to the sword in devastating fashion last Saturday in their annual 'easy three points' game.

As Barrow found out, at Gateshead a few days later, the way to stop Almond was simply to mark him out of the game and not as we did by backtracking until he's in sight of goal.  Hopefully we'll have learnt a lesson from that but I won't hold my breath.

Barrow should have a full squad available to travel down here with just Danny Forrest missing.  He's now back from a long term injury and to regain fitness he's been sent out on loan to Guiseley for a month.

We should also be back to full strength with the only injury worry being Tom Sharpe.  He was subbed early on in last weeks game with a leg injury but is responding to treatment slowly.  He could be fit but if not we do have Michael Briscoe and Lee Vaughan finally coming back from their bout of flu.

Now for the bad news.  Possibly the best player we have at Aggborough, Chris McPhee (left), has been placed on the transfer list and could leave at any time.  It's believed that we are actually expecting a fee for him but in the present financial climate we won't be getting much and even more so seeing that other clubs know that we're in dire straits and would take tuppence for him if we could.

Hopefully no one will show any interest and he'll stay with us for the remainder of the season, a sugar daddy buys the club and all these stupid goings on don't go on anymore.  Wishful thinking.
