Match preview Vs Hayes & Yeading Utd

gif

Date: 11-09-10gif Venue: Aggboroughgif Kick off: 15:00hrs
Mark Albrighton We'll be wanting to build on the away win at Altrincham from last Saturday and get all three points at home against Hayes this Saturday at Aggborough.  If we do it'll be our first home win of the season and it won't be before time because our last home league win came at the end of March last season against Cambridge Utd.

Hayes sit just one point below us in the table and that means that this game is yet another one of the proverbial six pointers that we need to win to get us a lot higher up the table and to try and make ground on the leading pack.  Last Saturday our visitors lost at home to another struggling side, Histon, after starting the game as favourites.

They'll be without left back Adam Green for the next three weeks after he suffered ligament damage to his knee against Histon.  Because of that injury they have now been given permission to activate the loan signing of QPR's Lee Brown and he'll be playing against us.

We should have an almost fully fit squad by now with just John Finnigan and Aman Verma missing out.  We had slight knocks to a few following the Alty game but they should all have cleared up by now.

On loan Verma missed the last game with a 'hand injury' and is in the process of being sent back to Leicester for further treatment.  Whether you believe that he really has injured his hand or is no longer part of Steve Burrs plans then I'll leave that up to you but so far he has been greeted with nothing but criticism for his attitude.  Maybe it's best in everyone's interests that he goes back and the loan is ended.

Mark Albrighton (right) will be available for selection for the game after serving his one match ban for the sending off against Tamworth on Bank Holiday Monday.  We have since bought in Ollie Thorne and he would be expected to get the nod before Mark.

This is a game that, on paper, we should win and win easily but things never seem as straight forward as that and we'll probably end up dropping at least two points.  We are supposedly a good side so let's start showing the fans that.
