Match preview Vs Hayes & Yeading Utd

gif

Date: 29-01-11gif Venue: Church Roadgif Kick off: 15:00hrs
The Harriers travel to West London just days after their annual bad tempered game at Forest Green.  We came back from the land of the cloven footed, two toed people with a well earned draw but it could, and should, have been all three points when Nick Wright somehow contrived to miss the goal in a one on one with the Rovers keeper.

Hopefully he'll put that glaring miss to the back of his mind when he lines up against Hayes & Yeading Utd tomorrow.  He looks almost certain to start in place of Lee Morris after he limped off painfully on Tuesday with what looked like a hamstring pull that could see him miss at least two weeks worth of games.  Chris McPhee should also be starting upfront too following Jamille Matts less than inspiring performance alongside Morris.

At the back we should hopefully have Tom Sharpe back in following an injury picked up at Barrow two weeks ago.  It could be that Mark Albrighton will make way for him in the need for a more mobile centre pairing that was cruelly exposed at Nailsworth.

Our only other worry is to Danny Lewis after he was physically GBH'd by Reece Styche.  He had Styches of his own in the aftermath and is still recovering from that.  Andy Stevens will be standing by to make his debut.

Hayes are a bit close to the chest about any team news but one that will be missing is Tom Cadmore following his red card at Altrincham on Tuesday.  That particular 'six pointer' was a game that Hayes were hoping to gain at least a point from but ended up losing 4-2 after going in all level at half time with a goal apiece.

They've just bought in Ben Wright on loan again.  He was with them earlier on in the season but was recalled by Peterborough and then sold to Crawley Town only to be sent out on loan to Newport County.  Also coming into Church Road is the perennial traveller Louis Jefferson on loan from Gainsborough Trinity.  He too has previously been at Hayes on loan.

Now that we seem to have, temporarily?, escaped the taxmans clutches and found a, possible, saviour we can now get on with the most important thing at this club.  The football.

Let's celebrate that fact with three very important points tomorrow at Hayes.

Teams:

Harriers from:
Lewis, Stevens, Vaughan, Mike Williams, Sharpe, Albrighton, Griffiths, Thorne, Byrne, Shaw, Briscoe, McPhee, Briggs, Hankin, Morris, N Wright, Blair, Matt, Gittings.
