Match preview Vs Histon

Date: 13-11-10gif Venue: Glassworld Stadiumgif Kick off: 15:00hrs
Jamille Matt Fresh on the back of a fine home win against Rushden, and a new player in the ranks, the Harriers are now off to Greater Cambridge to line-up against Histon this Saturday.  The new player is Jamille Matt from local side Sutton Coldfield and let's face it that's the kind of level we're now aiming at because our days of bringing in better quality players from higher up the ladder now seem to have gone.

This was made clear at the meeting last Monday when the fans were told of the situation financially within the club and why the Harriers manager, Steve Burr, will now have to concentrate on bringing in up and coming youngsters from below the Blue Square Bet Premier.  Matt is onesuch and during his two seasons with Sutton he has scored 21 goals including a hat trick in the 7-2 win against Goole Town last Saturday.  He'll be in the squad for Histon tomorrow.

We will be without Ollie Thorne and Jack Byrne for the game with both players suspended but Aaron Griffiths WILL be available for the game even though I mistakenly said that he would have been available last Tuesday for Rushden.  Apologies for that.

Mark Albrighton missed the game against Rushden too after being withdrawn late on through injury.  He should be available tomorrow though.

Histon have been on a bit of a run of late after starting the season poorly.  They haven't lost in their last six goals but before that they had only won once in nine outings with a solitary win at Hayes sandwiched in between.  They'll be hoping to extend their run to seven games against us but mustn't forget that we too are on a good run and have been unbeaten in the last five games.

Histon will be without just the one player for the game with Omer Riza out with a hamstring injury.  They have also just released Ben Clarke, Sekou Diarra and Mamadou Gomes from their contracts.

We dropped down a place to ninth following Wrexhams win against Luton last night but I think we should be able to keep ourselves in the play-off race with at least a point at Histon.
