Match preview Vs Luton Town

Date: 02-04-11gif Venue: Aggboroughgif Kick off: 15:00hrs
We go into the final month of the season tomorrow hoping that we might be extending it with a win at home to Luton Town and also to extend our unbeaten run to an amazing thirteen games.  In fact we've only lost one game so far this year away at Barrow so that must be some kind of promotion form.  If only we hadn't lost those five points for irregularities we'd be in fourth place above Wrexham right now.

Following that brilliant win at Mansfield lst Saturday, when we ripped the home side to pieces in the first half, it looks like we'll be without the ever improving Tom Shaw with a badly bruised foot.  We're already missing another centre half with Tom Sharpe out for the season with his dislocated knee so it might be a chance to see something of this lad we've got on loan from Macclesfield.  Saying that Matt Lowe didn't even make the bench at Mansfield so we may have a problem there.

We have sent one of our own out on loan today with Aaron Griffiths joining up with Stourbridge Town.  He'll stay with them for the remainder of the season.

We shouldn't have any other injury problems, apart from the ones mentioned earlier, so we should still be putting a strong side out.

Luton haven't got any either and will be welcoming Alex Lawless back from a three match ban picked up against Mansfield a couple of weeks ago.  They also have a new manager at the helm too after Richard Money resigned following last Saturdays defeat at Southport.

The former Cambridge Utd manager, Gary Brabin, is now in charge until the end of the season after spending most of this as Moneys' second in command and started his tenure against Barrow on Tuesday evening with a disappointing goal less draw that saw them register hardly a shot on goal.  They can't be that bad all of the time so we still need to be on our mettle and make sure of the win.

Last time out, just a month ago, we came back from Luton with a hard earned draw after former Harrier, Matt Barnes-Homer, scored something of a wonder goal to give them a half time lead.  In the second half we hit back with a goal from leading scorer Chris McPhee and then held on through a Luton onslaught for the remainder of the game to return home with a major point to our credit.

Tomorrow is a different game though and one both teams need to win to sort out where they'll finish in the League.  Luton look to have their place in the play-offs secured but we still need to open up a gap between ourselves, Fleetwood and York City.  I think we'll take another step on that path tomorrow.
