In todays draw for the FA Cup sponsored by some insipid American fizzy pop company the Harriers came out of the hat with a decent home tie against Blue Square North side Corby Town. Our 4th qualifying round game will be played at Aggborough on October 29th and hopefully a win against the Steelmen will put us amongst the, slightly, bigger teams from the Football League. Like Hereford or Barnet.
We last came up against Corby just under a quarter of a century ago when we beat them 4-0 in the FA Trophy. Before that, up until 1983, we played them in the Southern League on numerous occasions and also in one other previous Trophy game in 1976 and an FA Cup game in 1982 when we lost 3-1 at home.
The official Corby website can be found
here and their forum
here.
