The Harriers signed winger Danny Pilkington from newly promoted York City today following his release from the club after just one season with them. He signed for City in August last year but had never been handed a contract. The Darwen born twenty four year old can play on either wing and started his career around his home town before getting snapped up by, at the time, League club Stockport County for whom he played forty two times and scored just the one goal. At County he played alongside his brother Anthony.
On his release after eighteen months he had an unsuccessful trial with Chesterfield and then onto City where he went on to play eighteen games and double his goal tally to two.
A former team mate of James Vincent, Danny has arrived at Aggborough on a one year contract and will be hoping to impress enough to earn a longer contract in the future.
