Northwich Victoria 1 Harriers 3
The Harriers got back into winning mode with a well deserved victory at Victoria Park, Northwich, today. A first half goal from Steve Guinan with two more added by Marc Williams and Nick Wright towards the end of the second half was enough to see Steve Burrs old side off. Steve was the Vics manager when we beat them over two legs to reach the Trophy Final at the new Wembley Stadium but lost out to Stevenage.
Guinans goal came via a great pass from Kyle Storer before he moved on and then sent a curling shot around the home sides keeper.
We went close on further occasions during the half and could have increased the lead through Luke Medley, Storer and Guinan again with the best effort coming from a pin point Medley cross to Guinan that the former Hereford man headed just wide.

With minutes of the second half gone Callum Gittings crashed a shot against the bar with the rebound falling to Jamille Matt who could only hit the post following another good cross from Storer.
The action went quiet for a while until suddenly in the sixty ninth minute we grabbed our second goal. Marc Williams collected a ball on his chest from Dave Hankin and coolly slotted it beyond the reach of the keeper.
Minutes later he was off to be replaced by Nick Wright who was soon in the thick of it when he put his side 3-0 up and now cruising. His goal came from a fine run and pass from Micky Demetriou.
Northwich pulled a goal back through Sam Tuller just after to give a touch of respectability to the scoreline but they were never going to really threaten further and the Harriers ended the game as 3-1 winners.
