The Harriers go into this important Trophy tie at home to Droylsden with a much depleted side following Tuesday nights defeat at Gateshead.  Luke Jones received a red card during the second half of the game with the team already trailing 2-0.  Luckily for us Jon Shaw missed the penalty and later on we pulled a goal back through a penalty of our own with Nick Wright scoring.

We picked up a couple of injuries in the game too with Callum Gittings and Jack Byrne hobbling off but by all accounts they should both be fit for Saturdays game.

We have two of the squad cup tied too so that doesn't help matters.  Lee Hendrie and Tony Breeden will both miss out for that reason while the keeper that was bought in as Trophy cover, Nathan Vaughan, has now signed for Leamington after competing in the two games against Vauxhall in the previous round.

We also have three out on loan with Jack Cresswell at Redditch Utd, Rob Thompson-Brown at Solihull while Luke Medley, who returned from loan at Lincoln City last week, went out almost immediately on loan to one of his former clubs, Woking.

Droylsden have been in the Trophy slightly longer than we have.  In the 3rd qualifying round they beat Witton Albion 2-1 and then in the last round caused one of the bigger upsets when they beat Mansfield with a similar scoreline.  We should hold no fears for them then and they'll want to add our scalp to that of Mansfield.  It's up to us to be ready for them from the start and not let their wish come true.

Apologies for no team news from Droylsden yet.  I think that kind of thing is kept secret.

Just in on the wires: Harriers have signed winger/midfielder James McQuilkin, from Hereford Utd, on a month loan this morning.  He is expected to play tomorrow even though he isn't match fit not having played at all so far this season.

We have also given terms to two Academy players, Paul Hurrell and Ashley Checketts.
