Keith Briggs The Harriers head off to the bright lights of Blackpool tomorrow evening although I'm sure we'll be more interested in seeing the bright Fleetwood floodlights.  We'll also be hoping to see the team pick up three points there for the first time since Fleetwood gained promotion two seasons ago.

Last season we ended up one place behind them, just outside the play-offs, although just a few weeks earlier we had beaten them 2-1 in an exciting game that was televised from Aggborough.  That win should have given us great impetus to win our last two games and possibly finish in fifth place but a spineless defeat at Rushden and a disappointing draw at home to relegated Histon put paid to those hopes.

During the close season both teams rebuilt their teams and Fleetwood even had the nerve to pinch Keith Briggs (left) off us, for a small fee.  They also bought in a threatening strikeforce with Andy Mangan and Richard Brodie joining before the start of the season and Jamie Vardy coming in a few weeks ago from AFC Halifax.  Add in Magno Viera and Gareth Seddon already with them and it's a spearhead any other team, like us, would crave.

Fleetwood have matched our results all season so far with both clubs winning five, drawing two and losing two.  The only thing that separates us from fifth to seventh is our +3 goal difference.

They'll be without Nathan Pond, Junior Brown and Sean Clancy for the game but they're on their way back so at least one of them could make the bench at least.

We should be at full strength for the game with just Luke Medley slightly doubtful.  He was supposed to be fit for last Saturdays internecine warfare against Alfreton but following a fitness test he didn't make the bench.  He should be fit for the trip North though.

This is going to be one tough mother of a game.  Tougher probably than the Wrexham defeat a few weeks back but it's one that we must get some kind of a result from.

I'd be happy to share points with them.
