Ryan Rowe It'll be a day at the seaside for many Harriers fans tomorrow when we have an Easter Saturday trip to the sandy beaches and tropical seafront of Southport to look forward to.  There will also be the added bonus of three crucially important points on offer for us in this genuine six pointer against the fifth placed club.

Southport must be the surprise package of the season this time round as many so called experts predicted them to be one of the favourites for relegation.  Instead they've confounded their critics, waiting for the bubble to burst, and proved that you don't have to spend big money and stuff your team with star players to do well in this League.  You just need to keep plugging away and it will all start to come right one day.

Sadly I think, and hope, their chance will be gone by five o'clock and the Harriers, and their fans, will be setting back on our merry way to Worcestershire singing songs and generally being happy Easter bunnies.

Last Saturday the Harriers produced one of their best results of the season by beating fellow play off hopefuls Grimsby Town at Blundell Park.  A goal from Anthony Malbon and a late, late winner from Ryan Rowe, left, seemingly put paid to their hopes of promotion for this season while at exactly the same time that Ryan was scoring his winning goal Lloyd Owusu was doing the same thing for Hayes at Southport.

That defeat set the Sandgrounders back a bit while our victory has now set us up for greater glory.

Southport have just welcomed Alan Moogan back from a long term injury and are reporting a fully fit squad.  While we should have Callum Gittings back in contention with Danny Lewis and Tom Sharpe remaining on the sidelines.  There has been no other talk of players being out injured.

Kyle Storer will definitely be missing due to his collection of yellow cards now reaching ten, or is it eleven?  He'll also miss the next game.

On Monday we'll be hosting Newport County, a winnable game.  Can we possibly get off to a great start by putting paid to Southports hopes?

This one's winnable too.
