Following Saturdays game of Monopoly at Vauxhall Motors when Nick Wright cannily played his 'get out of jail free' card we now find ourselves with a second bite of the cherry and the chance to meet up with another old rival in Droylsden in the next round of the FA Trophy.

On Saturday we once again, in-explicably, managed to struggle against a lower level side for the third time this season.  First it was Corby in the FA Cup when we struggled in both games and then at Vauxhall we actually took the lead but then defensive errors let the home side back into the game.  With the game looking all but lost at 4-2 down we had Jamille Matt and the aforementioned Nick Wright to thank for saving us.

Now we have a replay to contend with and if history has its way we can only hope that we don't get a twisted version of déja vu happening.

Five years ago we played Vauxhall in the Trophy at Aggborough and the score ended in similar style to the other day with a 4-4 draw but on that day it was Vauxhall that came from behind.  We then went on to win the replay 4-0 but please God don't let them go and win 4-0 tomorrow night.

On Saturday the Harriers manager played, in my eyes, a weakened side by dropping Lee Vaughan, moving Tom Sharpe into the left back position and pushing Mickey Demetriou into midfield to make way for the returning Mike Williams even though he was totally lacking in real match practice and should have come on from the bench later in the game.  I just hope he sees sense this time and reverts back to the line-up that had seen us on an unbeaten run previous to Saturday.

Vauxhall had Leighton McGivern sent off for swearing at the referee but it seems he'll be allowed to play against us even though it was a straight red.  Yet again that quirk of different rules within the pyramid comes into play and really could do with sorting out.  What if one of our players had been sent off too? would they be allowed to play?  I don't think so!

We should have no injury problems for the game and I don't have a clue about the other team so let's all hope that we get past this bit of a bogey team and get on with the next, Droylsden.
