The Harriers reward for Saturdays emphatic win at Alfreton in the FA Trophy is a trip down to London where we will meet either Boreham Wood or Bromley in round 2 of the Trophy campaign on 15th December.
Goals from Danny Pilkington, Chey Dunkley and Ryan Rowe saw us through at the Impact Arena following a first half goal from former Harriers Dan Bradley for Alfreton. Danny's goal followed soon after and the other two came during a second half that saw the Harriers dominate the game.
At the same time our next opponents were battling out a draw at Bromleys Hayes Lane ground. Boreham Wood had taken the lead through the veteran Cliff Akurang, formerly of Histon, but Bromley equalised in the dying minutes of the game through Pierre Joseph-Dubois. He was formerly with Crawley then Weymouth and our paths have crossed on a few occasions.
Both sides replay tonight for the prize of playing against us so we should hear who it will be later on. Whoever it is will be a first ever meeting of the clubs.
