Date: 10-11-13 gif Harriers get a choice in the next Cup round
The Harriers reward for beating Sutton Utd in yesterdays FA Cup 1st round tie at Aggborough is a plum home game against either Braintree Town or Newport County, again at Aggborough.  Maybe the possibility of playing Braintree is more damson than plum.

Those two sides drew 1-1 at Braintrees' Cressing Road ground yesterday afternoon and have it all to do again in Newport on November 19th.

Both games are winnable for the Harriers with Braintree never having beaten us home or away while Newport will not be relishing a trip to Aggborough either having been on the end of a late massacre on their two previous games at Aggborough.  The first one came two seasons ago when Nick Wright went on the rampage and then last season Jamille Matt followed suit with an equally stunning hat trick to send Newport back home to Wales empty handed.

For the sake of just the income alone the club will surely be hoping that Newport win through in their replay because they'll be bringing far more of their fans to Aggbborough than Braintree would get for a home game on a regular Saturday afternoon.

Here's the rest of todays draw:

Bury or Cambridge United v Sheffield United
Wycombe Wanderers or Crewe Alexandra v Preston North End
Shortwood United or Port Vale v Salisbury City
Bristol Rovers or York City v Crawley Town
MK Dons v Dover Athletic
Boreham Wood or Carlisle United v Brentford
Macclesfield Town v Gillingham or Brackley Town
Chesterfield v Southend United
Oldham Athletic or Wolverhampton Wanderers v Mansfield Town
Rotherham United v Rochdale
Peterborough United v Tranmere Rovers
Hartlepool United v Coventry City
Lincoln City or Plymouth Argyle v Welling United
Wrexham v Oxford United or Gateshead
Fleetwood Town v Burton Albion
Grimsby Town or Scunthorpe United v Northampton Town
Leyton Orient v Walsall
Tamworth v Bristol City
Stevenage v Stourbridge
