Date: 14-10-13 gif Harriers up against Bradford PA in the Cup
In this mornings FA Cup 4th qualifying round draw, made on an incomprehensible Talksport, the Harriers were drawn out to meet Bradfords other team, Bradford Park Avenue.  The once famous side once reached ninth place in the First Division back in 1914 but subsequent years saw them struggle more and more until they failed to get re-elected to the league in 1970 and were replaced by Cambridge Utd.  The club finally went out of business in 1974 but then reformed in 1988 as Bradford (Park Avenue) AFC.

Slowly they worked themselves up the leagues until they reached the Northern Premier League in 1999 and then shuttled back and forth between that and the the league below until finally gaining promotion to the Conference North in 2012.  They currently sit in eighth place in that league.

In the last round on Saturday they beat Penrith 2-1 with their second goal coming in the 93rd minute to earn a home tie against the Harriers.  It could so easily have been a nice day out in the Lakes for us but instead we'll have to make do with dark satanic mills.

The date for this game has already been pencilled in for October 26th but on that same day Wolves will be playing at The bigger Bradford club, City.  Common sense, and the police, will probably suggest that our game will be moved to another day.  More than likely to be on the Sunday with a mid day(ish) kick off.

Now confirmed for Sunday 27th October with a 3.00pm kick off

We have never played BPA before and so this game will mean a new ground to tick off with the hosts playing their games at an athletics stadium, the Horsfall Stadium.  There were talks of moving to a somewhat OTT 20,000 seater stadium a few years back but that unrealistic dream has now bitten the dust.

A couple of links for you until I compile a complete page later.  Official / Forum
