Craig Reid Gary Whild, the Kidderminster Harriers manager, swooped today to sign striker Craig Reid (right) just days after his release from relegated Stevenage.  The now League 2 side quickly unloaded a ruck of players on Monday following their relegation from League 1 and Whild wasted no time in bring the much travelled forward to Aggborough.

Signed on a two year deal the former Newport County man started his career as a youth at Coventry City but then went to join up with Ipswich Town on another Youth deal.  On his return to Coventry two years later he was released and went to Cheltenham after two years with the Sky Blues.

After one year there he left to join Grays and then on to Newport where he finally made his mark and made almost a century of appearances for them scoring fifty eight goals.

He then joined Stevenage for the first time in 2011 for their first season in the Football League but failed to really shine with them and signed for an Aldershot side with relegation to the Conference looming on the horizon.  At the end of that season he joined up with Southend in August 2013 but only made the starting eleven twice but never for a league game.

He then re-joined Stevenage last February but only played four times for them.  He has signed for us on a two year contract.

In other news since the end of the season the club have said goodbye to Santiago Aloi and Ryan Rowe as expected but the surprise one was the end of Adrian Cieslewicz' career with us.  Even though he wanted to be with us yet Marvin Johnson plainly didn't the club have opted to release Cheesy and keep the less than Magic Marvin.

Finally the Player of the Season vote ended on here a week or so ago and I'm pleased to say that Callum Gittings won it this time round with just two votes more than Joe Lolley.  It helps to crown a remarkable season for the quiet man after many fans doubted his ability in the first place.  Well done Callum.
