After weeks of waiting and nail biting today saw the release of the fixture list for the up-coming 2013-14 season.

The announcement on the stroke of eleven this morning turned up a repeat of the first day game at home against Gateshead from two seasons ago.  A game that we lost 3-2 with our two goals coming courtesy of Nick Wright, now with Lincoln City, and the newly signed Kyle Storer.  It was Storer that set Gateshead on their way with a fourth minute penalty that was converted by Jon Shaw.

This game will kickoff the season on August 10th.

Our next two games will both be away from home, at Alfreton on August 13th and then the following Saturday we'll be travelling down to Braintree.

The two Bank Holiday games has us paired up with local side Nuneaton Town so that should see good crowds at both games.  The August game will be at Nuneaton on August 26th with the Easter Monday game at Aggborough on April 21st.

For the Christmas games we'll be welcoming Hereford Utd to Aggborough on Boxing Day while we pay them a return visit to Edgar Street on New Years Day.  The other local side, Tamworth, will again be on a Tuesday evening over there on September 17th while they come to us on Saturday November 23rd.

Of the newly promoted teams to the league we'll play Chester FC on August 24th (H) and October 5th (A), Welling will also be away from home for the first meeting on September 7th and they'll be paying us a visit on April 12th.  Salisbury City come to us on January 11th with us avoiding the gunfire on the plains on March 29th.

Relegated Barnet will be November 2nd (A) and March 15th (H) while Aldershot (if they are still in existence) will play us at home on September 28th and down in Hampshire on January 18th.

You might have noticed that one team has been missed out? That will be the final promoted side Halifax.

We'll be ending, what hopefully will be a successful season once again, at the Shay on April 26th.  The home game will be on September 24th, a rare Tuesday evening home game.

Generally we should expect an easier start to the season this time round, unlike last season when we accrued only five points from the first ten games.  Our first toughie will be at home to Luton on August 31st but hopefully we should have at least twelve points on board by then.
