Lincoln City will be paying two visits to Aggborough over the next two weekends.  In just over a weeks time they'll be playing Worcester City in the FA Cup but until then they'll be coming up against the mighty Harriers on the hallowed turf.  In between the two games it's been rumoured that they'll be parking their caravans in the away end car park and shacking up in them for the week.

Josh Gowling So far City haven't been the force they thought they would be this season with a string of defeats and draws.  Just two wins since the beginning of September does not make a team top of the table material.

They'll have leading scorer Ben Tomlinson back for our game but will be without the injured Danny Rowe (ankle).  In their squad is the former Harrier favourite Nick Wright and he'll be paying his first visit back here since coming on as a sub for Mansfield eighteen months ago when he was playing for them.  He hasn't featured all that much for Lincoln since joining them during the close season but has appeared more and more in recent weeks.

We'll still be without the long term injured Mickey Demetriou (fractured wrist) and Chey Dunkley (knee) but we do have some good news.  James Dance will be spending his second game on the sidelines too with one more game to go until his three game ban ends.  Yesterday we were told that Michael Gash and Callum Gittings trained in the morning and so can now be included in the squad to face City.

One player that will be facing City is Josh Gowling (right).  He was with them before joining up with us last season, following the dismissal of Exodus Geohaghon, and since his arrival we have become a far better team.  He left Lincoln after falling out with their, then, manager Dean Holdsworth and since his time at Aggborough has become the rock on which Steve Burr has built the team.

All games at the top are tough and I expect this one to be tough too.  Lincoln are desperate to get the season started and I think they'll be coming to us in the hope of putting eleven men behind the ball and grab another point.  Not that a single point would do them much good because we'll soon break them down.
