Following that well earned point at Wrexham the Harriers return to Aggborough looking a little more like their old selves.  In fact you could be forgiven thinking that you have slipped back in time when you arrive at the ground tomorrow for the game against Macclesfield and see Nick Wright (left) warming up with the team and Mark Creighton putting the defenders through their paces before the game.

Nick Wright This morning the legend that is Creights re-joined the club in a coaching role following his retirement from the game through injury when he was with Wrexham.  Nicky Wright has come back to us on loan until the end of the season from Lincoln City where he had dropped out of favour with the City manager Paul Simpson mainly because he didn't fit in the system that Lincoln play.  Some say the Simpson doesn't know what it is either.

It's expected that Wright won't be a first choice starter but would probably come on from the bench late in the game.

For tomorrows game we could still be without Chey Dunkley, Jack Byrne and Michael Gash.  Dunks was missing at Wrexham and could be facing an operation on his knee that could see him miss the remainder of the season.  Jamie Grimes covered for him on Saturday and did an excellent job, looking assured throughout, and was my personal MotM.

Jack Byrne and Michael Gash both have hamstring injuries and for Jack that could be very worrying.  He has been lacking in pace for the last few games that he's played and following two seasons when he has hardly figured due to injury this latest set back couldn't have come at a worse time for him.  Gash was expected to return from his injury at Cambridge two weeks ago but failed a late test and now he could be out for another few weeks.

We will definitely be without Kyle Storer after he picked up his tenth yellow card of the season at Wrexham and so he'll now miss both tomorrow evening and also at home to Barnet this coming Saturday.

Macclesfield have been improving in recent weeks but still sit in mid table just below us.  On Saturday they were at home to Grimsby Town and gained a credible draw against the once play off certainties by scoring in the final seconds of the game when Scott Boden converted a last minute penalty after he was tugged over by Shaun Pearson.

Boden is the danger man for them and has taken over from Connor Jennings in the scoring stakes following Jennings departure from the Moss Rose to Grimsby.  He's one player that we'll have to be careful of.

At the back they have a one time target of Steve Burr.  George Pilkington was expected to join us from Mansfield at the start of the season but that fell through and he went out on loan to Forest Green instead before joining up with Macclesfield on loan six weeks ago.  He has now agreed to stay with them until the end of the season.

The injury situation at Macclesfield is not known.

I'm expecting a close fought game tomorrow evening, as all games against two old sparring partners are, but feel that we may have too much in the locker and wikth the impetus of that good result at Wrexham and the return of Gary Whild then we could well sneak this, if narrowly.

STOP THE PRESS: Freddie Ladapo has been sent out on loan to Hayes & Yeading for an initial one month.  That will take him up to the 12th of April when we have a home game against Welling Utd.
