Salisbury will arrive at Aggborough tomorrow afternoon, weather dependent, to become the first side to face the new regime at Kidderminster Harriers.  No doubt they'll be quaking in their boots because the world now knows that we are preparing to win the title and with it return back into the Football League.

This will be Andy Thorns first game in charge since the sacking of Steve Burr on Tuesday and by now he will have taken a look at his new charges and put a plan in place to gain maximum points from the Whites.  Unless he brings some new players in at the last minute then he'll have to be choosing his starting eleven from a very depleted squad because now we are without Callum Gittings for a few weeks, due to a chipped bone in his shoulder along with a minor hamstring injury, he'll have just seventeen players to choose from.

One option would be to recall all those out on loan: Ryan Rowe at Stourbridge, Jamie Grimes at Worcester, Nathan Blissett at Hednesford and James Dance at Rushall.  That would then give him a few more options and also the chance to see how they perform before the end of the month when the transfer window closes.

This is our first game against Salisbury since they returned to the Conference after a three year break due to relegation.  Always an attractive side to watch they now have added fire power with the young Dan Fitchett and creativity in midfield with the presence of the former Harriers captain Chris McPhee.  McPhee was with us from February 2009 until the end of the 2010-11 season when he decided that the travelling from his home in Newton Abbott was getting too much for him and joined Torquay Utd for one season before joining up with Salisbury.

City have just a couple of injuries to Brian Dutton and Luke Ruddick with the latter the most unlikely to feature.  For us, apart from Gittings, we have no known injuries and so should be ok on that front.

I'm not going to give a forecast for this game, sorry.  The new manager is an unknown quantity and he might choose to play a formation that the existing players cannot cope with or understand.

They may not even want to play for him!!!
