For the second Saturday in a row the Harriers are at home and this week our guests are Southport.  Although the Sandgrounders are still struggling at the wrong end of the table in recent weeks they have been picking up the points and the reason for that could be down to them having a new manager.

John Coleman came to the club in December and following a clearout of players and recruitment of new ones his plans finally seem to be bearing fruit.  Since the beginning of February they have beaten Grimsby, Macclesfield, Salisbury and Dartford with a draw at Chester last Saturday.  Their only two defeats have come at the hands of FGR and Woking both away from home.

They'll be without defender Matty Flynn tomorrow as he faces a spell on the sidelines with a knee injury picked up in that defeat at Woking.

We will definitely be without Chey Dunkley following his minor knee operation on Wednesday while Adrian Cieslewicz is still struggling with his leg injury, an injury that seems to have moved down to his ankle now, but he could be fit to play after saying he was 50/50 on his Twitter account yesterday.  The other doubt could be with Kyle Storer (hip) after he missed the bore draw at Aldershot on Tuesday evening.  Some might say he was lucky but with him we might have got something from the game because we seem to be missing his battling performances whenever he doesn't play.

We finally signed our former player Aman Verma yesterday following days of speculation and denial.  He lasted for two weeks for us in August 2010 but got injured in his only game at Newport and was sent back to his parent club Leicester City early.  It's hard to see where he's going to fit into the team so that could be something to look out for tomorrow.

With the Harriers having gone unbeaten since Gary Whild took over, and winning both our home games with him at the helm, I think we could be putting a dent in Southports survival hopes tomorrow and if Storer is back for us then I'll be even more confident.
