With the season now beginning to draw to a close (we have just five games left) and this game at Aggborough tomorrow, against Welling, could be our last chance of reaching the play-offs.  To say this is going to be a 'must win' game is something of an understatement.

This time last season we were sitting at the very top of the table as we had been since mid March but now our dreams of even making the top five seem to be but a distant dream.

On Tuesday evening we came close to gathering all three points but the referee finally saw sense and struck Josh O'Keefes handballed effort off.  The ironic thing is that after seeing video footage it would have been easier to have allowed the ball to drop onto his chest and force it over the line.  There would have been no foul and we would have gotten a crucial away win under our belts.  At the end of the day we never deserved to win that game after an excruciating first half display that made us look like Sunday morning footballers.

For the Welling game we'll at least have Callum Gittings back in the squad following his two match ban and he should give us a bit of craft and bite in midfield as well as looking like one of the very few that can score for us at the moment.  We did look a little more potent in front of goal during the second half at FGR and we now need to build on that.

Danny Jackman and Josh Gowling will both still be out of the game with injuries and Kyle Storer will be serving the third game of his four game ban although the ban was originally for one game only until someone at the club realised that he had been banned for four games.  We should have no other injuries to worry about.  Says he!

On the same night that we were getting a draw at FGR, Welling were helping our local rivals Hereford Utd out by losing to them by a single goal.  They've had a steady first season back in the Conference and sit in mid table at this time, just three places and four points behind us.

Their injury list is unknown so should be at full strength for the visit to us.

This game will be kicking off slightly later tomorrow due to the 25th anniversary of the Hillsborough disaster.  It was on this same weekend that we were also playing Welling, in the Vauxhall Conference and that day we won 2-1.  I hope that we can repeat that result tomorrow but hope that'll be the only reason to remember the day in 25 years time.
