The Harriers come back down to earth tomorrow evening when they travel down to leafy Surrey to take on Woking in the Skrill Premier.  Mind you seeing as it's now deep winter there won't be that many leaves around.

Callum Gittings On Saturday we made our way into the second round of the FA Cup at the expense of Newport County.  Next day we were drawn out of the hat to meet the mighty Peterborough Utd in the third leg when all along we were fully expecting Arsenal and the possibility of them rolling over for us in an obliging kind of way.  Tomorrow night, in the bread and butter of the season, I'm not expecting Woking to be doing that.

While we were putting four past Newport they were doing likewise at Halifax to eventually win 4-3 at a ground very few teams get to score one goal let alone four.  That win took their recent record up to four wins in their last five games and they're very much a team in form.

The goals for those wins have come from mainly two players, both on loan from other clubs.  Jack Marriott has scored seven times, three of them on Saturday, during his loan time from Ipswich while Scott Rendell has grabbed five during the time he has been at Kingfield on loan from Luton.  The only worry they have from Saturday is that they gifted Halifax three goals.

It's not known what the injury situation is down there but they did release Gavin McCullum earlier today so that he could join Sutton Utd.

Following our great win we should have no real injury worries apart from possibly Callum Gittings (above left) after he went off injured during the second half.  He made a brief re-appearance at the end of the televised highlights and didn't appear to be limping in any way so he should be ok.  His performance against Newport was one of the main reasons for our win and finally he looks to be the player that we had glimpses of last season.  He could become a bit of a legend for the Harriers one day.

We will be without Lee Fowler and Kyle Storer for the game after they both picked up the last of the requisite bookings on Saturday to make them miss a game.  They'll be back for Alfreton this coming weekend though.  We do have both Gittings and Lee Vaughan now sitting on four yellows and a booking in tomorrow evenings game will see them miss that game.

A few weeks back I would have said that this would have been a game that had three points all over it but now I'm not too sure.  Woking have pulled their socks up recently - no doubt due to the loanees - and I think this is going to be a sharing of the spoils.

No problem.  It's not a sprint, it's a marathon.
