Again the Harriers will hope for something from this game after seeing no return from the last two at Southport and Braintree.  At least this one against Altrincham will be at home but that's still no guarantee of a win.

It appears that the only place that we can both score and win is at Aggborough and that's something we need to do tomorrow before the crowds start falling away as fast as the top of the table did last week.  Before the Southport defeat we were in fourth place but now, following the loss at Braintree, we are down into eleventh place.

We should be at full strength for the Altrincham game and hopefully we'll be playing a more attacking style of team in an effort to regain a place higher in the table.  Craig Reid found himself on the bench in Essex after Gary Whild decided to experiment with a strike partnership of Reece Styche and Nathan Blissett but it failed to work and in the second half Michael Gash came on for Blissett and twenty minutes later Reid replaced Styche but without much improvement although we did have a handful of efforts hitting the woodwork.

I can't see much changing for the start of the game with just Reid almost certain to be there at kick off.  The worrying thing is the lack of Callum Gittings with him slowly being phased out of the spotlight after starting in the games at Lincoln and then a few weeks later at home to Chester.  Now he isn't even making the bench and we need him more than ever now if we have any hope of getting our season back into gear.

Altrincham have had a solid, if un-spectacular, start to the season so far with their home form, wins against Bristol Rovers and Dartford, better than their away form with just one point gained away from home at Alfreton.  On Saturday they took the lead three times against Eastleigh but three times their fellow promotees clawed the game back for it to end three apiece.

Alty have four former Harriers in their ranks with Jake Moult and James Lawrie from long ago while from more recent times they have Mike Williams and Tom Marshall.  Of those four all accept Williams feature in games now.

I have no team news for our visitors.
